Cars of the Euro Trip, part 2

My last Euro Trip post left us in Verona. We were there for a couple more days there and, although there were not many fancy cars, there were quite a few interesting affordable cars. We then drove to the Cinque Terre area, where there were not many cars to see as we were walking or taking the train, like most other people.

Italy (continued)

I remember when this was the most prestigious bike you could get. It still looks good.

A Land Cruiser we never got in Canada

Clean (but boring) Saab NG900

Patriotic Alfa 164

Another Scirocco

Nice spec 500

A Bertone Freeclimber (Powered by BMW)... I had never seen one of these before

Clean MG-F

The new Honda Jazz (Fit) is fairly bland

Anohter cool Abarth 500

Very clean Autobianchi A112 "Elegant" for sale

Unidentified Russian? car with Ukraine plates

The Peugeot 106 is still a good-looking car

Nice MGA in the Cinque Terre

Cool emergency vehicle

Genova

Our next stop was Genova, a lovely city we were all discovering for the first time. We had a really nice apartment with a lovely view, not too far from the city center.

Cool 80's looking Fiat

Police Land Rover Discovery

I think this is the previous A-Class in AMG form

Ultimate minimalism: Citroen Mehari

Daihatsu Feroza... never heard of it, but cool

Slimmer bumpers on the Jazz in Europe

Our next stop was Imperia, a quiet town on the Mediterranean coast that was not as glitzy as the towns we would later visit on the French side. From Imperia, we took a day trip to San Remo. Sadly, I was not able to find a Rally San Remo t-shirt.

Another Rolls-Royce Spectre on the way to France

The new Micra is not amazing-looking, but I think people in Canada would buy it

The last Saab 9-5

Some sporty version of the Alfa 147

Another Hyundai I20n

Neat Piaggio scooter

Cool sporty Corolla

... GT-i-16?

Sleek new Hyundai van

Slim bumpers on the 2nd generation Jazz as well

First time I've seen a Sprinter pickup

Ukrainian Mustang in San Remo

Back to France

After leaving Imperia, we headed back to France. We stayed in the lovely city of Antibes, but on the way we stopped at Menton, and again in Monaco (Alex and I both felt our first stop there had been a bit too short). I will make a separate post about all the car spotting we did in Monaco. From Nice, we flew home, and that was the end of our one-month-long family trip. We all enjoyed the trip, but I was glad to be home while there is still a good chunk of summer left!

Cool cars I spotted but could not photograph:
Civic Type R FL5 in Innsbruck
Porsche 928 in Insbruck
80's Aston Martin in Monaco
Electric Mini Moke in Monaco
Bentley Mulsanne
Renault Mégane RS Ultime in Monaco
Cayman GT4 RS in Monaco

Nice Fiat Spyder in Antibes

Clean 996

Triumph Rocket 3, 2.5 liters!

Nice M4

There were a few 993's in Antibes

One of the few Renault RS's I saw, a Clio

I thought this was a GT3RS...

... but Jules noticed that it was an even more rare GT2RS! Dubai plates

This TR6 in Antibes had some kind of rally stickers on it

Cool Renault 4 delivery van

Another 993 in Antibes

A super-rare Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale in Antibes

Aston Martin DB9

Not my favourite Fiat, but it was clean

Rare MG-ZR

Clean DS

Blurry artsy night shot...

... of a lovely Morgan

"GT" version of the 208, same engine options, strangely

Classic 500 outside the fortifications of St-Paul-de-Vence

I told J. that brands who use Brembo rarely write their own brand and "Brembo", but Alfa did it

Nice early Audi TT

Really cool sculpture at St-Paul-de-Vence

Another blurry night photo: Ferrari F8

Suzuki Van Van

The boys pointed this out just as we were leaving for the airport: the new Mini
