Short trip to Italy (Genoa)

The port of Genoa, seen from the plane

On the weekend of Valentine's Day, I flew to Italy to meet up with Alex after a conference she attended in Portugal. Our goal was to shop for an apartment in Genoa, a city we visited last summer. We loved the vibe of the city, its location, and noticed that apartments there were quite affordable, much more so than in Montreal. The temperature varied from about 6 degrees to 13 degrees, which is not that warm, but warm enough that there is no snow anywhere in the city and the lush vegetation is almost as green as in summer.

There are not a ton of enthusiast cars on the road, but just being in Europe, I love to see a completely different selection of cars on the road.

Pesto capital of Italy!

Subaru Levorg: a wagon with the front end of a WRX

Cool 80's Land Cruiser

The most popular sporty car: 595 Abarth, Pista version

Older Abarth Punto, still cool

Not the prettiest AMG, but 6.2 liters!

The old Panda 4x4 looks robust

Most surprising spot of the trip: a track-prepped GR Yaris in a residential neighbourhood

Stretched early 80's Mercedes

These Celica's are getting rare

I love a Peugeot 106 with an OEM body kit

These MX3's used to abound in Canada, but I had not seen one in years

Bugeye Sprite with the top down, in winter!

The last Saab 9-5

Sisley edition of the Panda 4x4

The original and the tribute, same colour!

This reminded me of the police cars in the Italian Job

There were a few Renault 4's around too
