Which car should I bring to Calabogie?

A nice dilemma to have...

The Perry Performance Calabogie Academy race school is happening this weekend. Normally,  I would head over there in the Civic, since I can usually get 30 minutes of track time on Saturday and Sunday. This makes it worth the "discomfort" of driving three hours each way in the Civic (it's not that bad, but I mainly miss cruise control). However, rain is forecast for both days, and I don't really have decent rain tires. If there is only a small chance of some track time in the dry, I think I will be better off in with the M3. I just changed its oil and it has a new caliper and front pads, so if there is in fact a chance to go out for a few laps, I can always head out for some easy laps in the M3 (like I did in 2022). Why not the STi? First of all, I left it in the barn in Deschaillons. Second, I never managed to install summer tires on it and I wouldn't want to destroy the winter tires driving on track. I do want to take it out on track at some point. The M3 has the following advantages over the Civic for a weekend like this: cruise control, it's fully water proof, it's quieter (not actually quiet), more speakers. So I guess that settles it then, if the forecast doesn't change!

I haven't been back on track since my Tuesday visit to ICAR... The nice weather is coming and I look forward to hitting some events in May. Now that winter seems completely over, there are plenty of interesting cars on the road.

I didn't even know Alpina did SUV's... XB7
