After having the Civic tuned and installing a new intake and muffler, the Civic saw power gains of around 15 hp. Sajan said I have 198 hub horsepower now, which is about average for a K20a2 with the bolt-ons I have.
I was eager to see how this would translate at ICAR, but there was no Tuesday night lapping for three Tuesdays in a row. By the end of the day, I was a little disappointed in my performance as a driver, as it took me until late in my final session to beat my personal best, and only by about two tenths of a second. I think that with the little bit of extra power, I was rolling onto the throttle more conservatively in some spots. Anyway, the final result was a 1:45.93. I am confident that if I drive the car properly, I can hit the 1:44's without any changes in the car's setup. Still, I am happy to finally be in the 1:45's... it took me long enough!
Here is a video including the best lap:
The Civic between sessions
Very nice Evo 8 or 9
Also nice: Elise (or Exige?)
Very clean Civic coupe a generation older than mine
BMW products
A new GT3, an M3 and an M4

Proof you can have fun even with an economy car
370 and MR Spider
The same clean EM1 I have seen here before
Veloster N in the beginner group
As far as I know, this is the fastest Civic at ICAR, more than 2 seconds per lap faster than me
I had some fun with Sylvain on the track in his RX8
I don't know how long this grasshopper stayed on my trunk
Very cool K-swapped Trueno, also faster than me
Modern budget track car and 90's budget track car
The Civic ready for more action... I flipped the rear tires to the front for more even wear
Cool TT-RS
The car next to me was this clean Civic sedan with a B-series swap
My other neighbour was Hugo's Civic Type R: one car for summer, winter and track!
Ford seemed to be having a press event in the parking lot
This is a real ACR, I chatted with the owner. Lovely in Nitro Yellow Green. I told him my first track car was a Neon.
