Our condo is still not sold

But at least people are showing up to our open houses and calling to visit it. Hopefully, it will not be too long! I have suspended all car-related activities until our place is sold, as I am dreading a period this fall where we will have to pay two mortgages at the same time.

I did manage to run one race at ICAR a couple of weeks ago, however. Pat and I each drove one race in the SPC series. I ran Saturday, while Pat ran Sunday. We each finished 17th out of 25 cars. Pat was slightly quicker: my best lap was a 1:56.470, while he dipped down into the 1:55's (it was hotter for my race!). I lost out in a short battle with an Audi A4, who beat me by less than one second. Grr!

Pat was not satisfied with the oil consumption after simply changing the rings, so he will be installing new oversized pistons over the next couple of weeks.

The M3 has been quite neglected. I noticed that one of the rear (dead winter) tires is worn down the middle. This might signal that I need to get one of the rear trailing arm bushings changed again. I still haven't even changed the front control arm I bought three months ago (you cannot change only the ball joint on these cars). Also, I have been meaning to have the car detailed, or at least waxed. I just haven't had the time and money to do all of this lately. During the week, I barely even use the car.

So basically, I have two cars that I love: one that is constantly being repaired and is essentially for track events, and one high performance street car, which only really gets driven on weekends.

Other than that, Jules has been getting us up and out of bed around 6:30 these days. He is ready for action from that point forward! Alex and my mother have been taking him to wading pools and I think he likes it more and more. We took him to the beach at Cap St-Jacques last weekend, and he only liked it so-so. Also, we got plenty of mosquito bites. It now costs 9$ to park there, and 4,50$ per person, so 18 $. It used to be much cheaper!

Also, it's been hot, and we don't have air conditioning. This means it is not very comfortable in our condo. The new place does not have a/c either, but at least the layout makes it possible to install a system without too many complications.
